Trumpet Sextet No.1 Fantasy Romance

There is hardly any repertoire for trumpet sextets so I decided to make our own. It also gave me the opportunity to fine-tailor all the parts to our players. I didn’t even mark the scores as trumpet 1 or trumpet 2, etc., but I used the names of our members. I didn’t want it to be anybody’s showcase, but I wanted to give a chance to every player in the group. Every player has his or her own voice and musical language and I really wanted to give an opportunity for this to be presented in our trumpet ensemble. The first sextet Trumpet Sextet No.1 Fantasy Romance got the Curtis Trumpet Ensemble into the final round of the National Trumpet Competition in 2015.
