Preface by the composer, Igor Martinez:

The premiere of this piece took place on July 7th, 2018 in the “Fedora Aleman” hall of the National Center for Social Action through Music, with the participation of the Simon Bolivar Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela trombone section.

Tenor trombones: Pedro Carrero, Jackson Murillo, Alejandro Díaz, Edgar García. Bass trombones: Lisandro Laya, Jhonder Salazar. Contrabass tuba: Igor Martínez.

The name “Inconsistency” for me is not only the meaning of the piece, which aims to give a feeling of never being stable, but also means living. Life is an inconsistent flow of events that happen; good or bad. Sometimes we are not able to control the events, and when we can control them, the result is not always what we expected. For periods of time, life can be stabilized and maintained in this way until at some point, (generally random) everything returns to chaos. In this cycle we perpetually maintain, until the end of our days, trying to keep control of something that is totally uncontrollable.
